We've recently purchased a motor to go on our boat. This will allow us to respond faster to a person in the water. Until now we had to rely on rowing. The pictures shown were taken while practicing with the new motor in the Erie Canal.

The new station 1 project is finally moving along at a good pace. The basement portion has been finished and the footers for the truck bays will be poured soon. Check back often for updates.

Spencerport volunteer firefighters were called to the 2500 block of Manitou Rd. for a garage fire. 2c-19 went on scene with a fully involved garage fire with exposure problems to 2 nearby houses. Spencerport volunteers responded to to Washington St. this morning for a 2 car head on crash. The hydraulic cutters were used to remove the roof to better access the victim. There were no apparent serious injuries. Photos bt Joe Muniz.

The Spencerport Fire District has taken on 4 new recruit volunteer firefighters. They are Matt Lewandowski, Brandon Geer, Jessica Magin, and Adam Smith. Anyone interested in becoming a volunteer firefighter can find information and an application on this website by clicking on the RECRUITMENT PAGE or stop by any of our 3 firehouses where there is a box with information brochures and applications. The next RECRUIT CLASS will start in August. Please mail in completed applications by the end of July.

A large tree fell on 3 vehicles and house today on Mill Street. There were no injuries.
