Spencerport volunteer firefighters responded Monday evening to fill-in at RFD Q/M 5 on Gardiner Ave. due to the majority of city companies working a major alarm fire on North Clinton Ave.  2914 responded with driver Mitchell, navigator Zinkievich, and ff's Meyer, RT Magin, Mawn, Lewandowski.  Shortly after arriving in quarters with Chili 4310, 2914 was dispatched to a natural gas call at 206 Mt. Read Blvd. @ McGuckin St.  2914 went out with a faulty stove and readings in the structure.  Crews ventilated the structure and was very quickly assisted by RG&E.  Hours after leaving the fill-in, Q/M 5 went out with a well involved attic fire on Normandy Ave.  Story by Dan Zinkievich.
